Kendra Muecke Embraces Her New Chapter with “Love You Girl”
In partnership with Artist Formula Record Group

Kendra Muecke has always known that she wanted to be an artist. As a child of just four, she would turn to her mother and proclaim that she wanted to be a movie star, setting into motion a chain of events that would lead her to where she is today.
Muecke performs under the name Kendra & the Bunnies. On August 1, she is dropping a music video for her latest track, “Love You Girl,” which she says marks a new chapter in her story.
The Fabric That Ties Life Together
Many artists who gravitate to music describe how it is the fabric that ties their lives together. This is no less true for Kendra Muecke, who credits her mother for falling in love with the stage at a young age.
The multifaceted singer-songwriter, influencer, and actress began what she describes as a “serious relationship with literature” in her teens, which also coincided with her discovering rock and roll bands such as Led Zeppelin, Jefferson Airplane, and CCR.
She attended college at Pepperdine University, where she studied Theatre Arts in acting and learned about the way people ritualize performance. She continued her studies at the Musicians Institute in the Independent Artist Program and at the Blair School of Music at Vanderbilt University, where she studied songwriting.
As Kendra & the Bunnies, Kendra is a 3-time Josie Music Award Winner for Artist of the Year (Multi-Genre) in 2021, Artist of the Year (Pop) in 2022, and Album of the Year (Pop) in 2024. She is also a voting member of the prestigious Recording Academy.

The Struggles Along the Road
As someone who dealt with their share of inner struggles, Muecke credits her decision to go into recovery as life-changing.
“My journey to stop drinking finally started in 2018,” the artist shares. “I am so grateful, because without stopping partying like a rockstar, I wouldn’t be where I am today.”
The Release of “Love You Girl”
On August 1, Kendra will release her new music video for “Love You Girl” on YouTube. The song, which details personal empowerment and not caring about others’ opinions of you, was inspired by wearing showy outfits and being edgy in both public and in relationships.
The video will be released alongside the Dolby Atmos re-release of her album “with the Politics of Kendra,” which the artist shares is a relatively new field of audio.
“It’s a new frontier, and I am so excited to be one of the first artists to do it,” Kendra says.

Life Lessons from the Road
If Kendra has learned anything in her life, it is that one needs to have faith in oneself to succeed.
“My favorite lesson is to believe in yourself,” Kendra shares. “When I used to get down on things and myself, I would be so much closer to forgetting my reason for creating art beyond sadness.”
