This latest release is sure to capture attention and get listeners on their feet. These guys aren’t messing around; they make the kind of rock people love. Velvet Chains is one of the most exciting bands currently heating up the rock and metal scene. Their latest single, “Ghost In The Shell” has become one of the band’s standout tracks, earning strong praise and a growing fan following. Another notable track, “Dead Inside,” spent several weeks on multiple rock charts, marking an important milestone for the band.

Velvet Chains features Chaz Terra on vocals, Philip Paulsen on lead guitar, Von Boldt on rhythm guitar and backing vocals, Jason Hope on drums, and Nils Goldschmidt on bass and backing vocals (the band’s original founding member).

A Band Built for the Big Stage

Beyond their hunger to keep dropping hit after hit, Velvet Chains are no strangers to the stage. They’ve already toured extensively across the U.S. and internationally, including three tours in South America. Needless to say, these guys know exactly what they’re doing.

“How The Story Ends”: Power, Emotion, and Precision

Their new release, “How The Story Ends,” wastes no time making an impact. The track moves with power and focus, turning heavy emotion into momentum. Chaz Terra’s vocals deliver a powerful and captivating performance. He doesn’t rely on screaming; instead, his deep, commanding voice carries intense emotion and strength. The overall arrangement and production are fantastic, coming together to create one of the best hard rock songs this year.

A Sound That Demands Attention

Their sound blends the intensity of alternative metal with melodic hooks that demand attention. Other contemporary rock acts explore similar sonic territory, but Velvet Chains carves out its own space, delivering music that channels raw energy and emotion.

A Visual Story as Intense as the Music

Velvet Chains also released an official music video, with visuals that mirror the song’s dark intensity and reinforce its haunting atmosphere. Lines like “I’m burning within and I’m screaming at shadows” hit even harder when paired with the imagery. Each member gets a moment to shine, showcasing their skills. Terra, in particular, delivers a gripping performance as a man lost and trapped in a literal madhouse. A mysterious woman, playing a nurse, attempts to inject something sinister into his body and mind. Religious symbolism runs throughout the video, perhaps suggesting how faith can sometimes fail and leave someone lost in darkness.

Searching for Meaning in the Darkness

As Nils Goldschmidt explains, “How The Story Ends is about searching for meaning in a world that has become uncertain and broken. It’s a reflection on loss, change, and the quiet yet brutal act of gathering what’s left of your life. It remains the most hauntingly raw and emotionally charged song we’ve ever written.”
