Home Alone actor Devin Ratray was arrested earlier this month for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend during a visit to Oklahoma for a fan convention.

Ratray, who played Buzz McCallister – the troublesome older brother of Macaulay Culkin’s lead character in the franchise – was in attendance at the OKC Pop Christmas Con. He was reportedly one of the event’s main draws for fans.

According to local reports, Ratray and his girlfriend were out at a bar when he was asked for an autograph by two women. His girlfriend is said to have given the women autographed cards for free, which sparked an argument between the couple.

Ratray is alleged to have became violent towards his girlfriend once the couple returned to their hotel room.

“[The] victim had trouble breathing while she was being strangled and while the defendant’s hand was over her mouth,” Detective Joseph Burnett of the Oklahoma City Police Department wrote in an initial report.

Burnett’s report says that the women freed herself by biting Ratray’s hand, but he allegedly punched her in the face before she escaped.

Domestic violent charges have now been filed against Ratray in Oklahoma County District Court.

Police say that the actor “turned himself in and was processed through and bonded out” on 22 December.

Ratray, who has also made appearances in TV shows such as Law & Order and The Good Wife is yet to directly comment on the case.
