BLACKPINK‘s Lisa is set to make her acting debut in the upcoming third season of The White Lotus, according to a new report.

The award-winning HBO show from Mike White sees wealthy guests convene at an up-market hotel, with a different location for each season.

The third season will be set in Thailand – the home country of Lisa – and star the likes of Jason Isaacs, Parker Poser and Michelle Monaghan.

According to Variety, Lisa has now joined the cast for the new season, though her specific role and character are being kept under wraps.

She will become the second member of BLACKPINK to go into acting, after bandmate Jennie starred in controversial HBO show The Idol last year alongside The Weeknd.

The White Lotus season three is set to premiere in 2025, as revealed in a recent trailer of upcoming HBO productions.

Of the new season, White has said: “It’s going to be supersized White Lotus. It’s going to be longer, bigger, crazier. I don’t know what people will think, but I am super excited, so at least for my own barometer, that’s a good thing… I’m super excited about the content of the season.”

The new announcement of Lisa’s involvement comes after the singer shared a cryptic teaser on her Instagram account last week, sparking speculation that a new project could be on the way from the K-pop star.

She then announced the launch of her own management company, LLOUD. It’s described as a “platform to showcase my vision in music and entertainment”.

BLACKPINK’s last single came in the form of ‘The Girls’, which arrived last year as part of the soundtrack for the Korean group’s new mobile video game, BLACKPINK THE GAME.
