Legendary Blue Note jazz club to open first UK location in London
Blue Note London will open its doors next month, with upcoming performances from Erykah Badu, Robert Glasper, Nubya Garcia and more
The legendary Blue Note jazz club is set to open its first UK location next month.
Blue Note London will open on September 23, and artists including Erykah Badu, Robert Glasper and Nubya Garcia have been announced for its opening season.
The new venue, located on St Martin’s Lane in central London’s Covent Garden, will feature a 250-capacity main space, and another 100-person room which will open later this year.
Discussing the reasons for bringing Blue Note to London, Tsion Bensusan, Co-Owner of Blue Note Entertainment Group, said: “London has always been one of the world’s great music capitals, with an extraordinary jazz heritage and an incredibly diverse creative community. Bringing Blue Note to London is something we’ve envisioned for many years, and opening our doors here marks one of the most significant milestones in our company’s history.
“For more than four decades, Blue Note has been dedicated to creating intimate spaces where artists and audiences connect through unforgettable live performances. Our hope is that Blue Note London becomes more than a venue, it becomes a home for musicians, a gathering place for the community, and an integral part of London’s cultural landscape. We are immensely proud and honoured to bring the Blue Note legacy to this remarkable city.”

The club will be opened with a two-night stand from jazz legend Glasper on September 23-24. He said: “London has been a big supporter in my career from the very beginning, and I’ve always had so much respect for the musical culture of the UK past and present. There is a deep love for music that pushes boundaries, and Blue Note has always been a home for that same spirit.
“Starting this new club is about creating a space where jazz, R&B, hip-hop, and everything in between can meet, evolve, and surprise people. I’m excited to build something in London that feels intimate, fearless, and alive, a place where artists can take chances and audiences can experience the music up close.”
