Mary In The Junkyard have announced details of their debut EP This Old House and released a new single – listen to ‘Marble Arch’ below.

The London-based trio – Clari Freeman-Taylor, Saya Barbaglia and David Addison – emerged last year with debut single ‘Tuesday’ after a run of lauded live shows at the Brixton Windmill.

Last month, they followed it up with the track ‘Ghost’ and have now shared ‘Marble Arch’ as the second preview of the debut EP, due out on May 9 via AMF Records.

Discussing the EP, Freeman-Taylor said: “This Old House is all about the memories that exist in the walls and floors of places, what it feels like to be home and away from it.”

Of the new song, the vocalist added: “I wrote the words to ‘Marble Arch’ in the back of the book Wise Children under the actual marble arch, it’s about the intense relationship between sisters, and leaving home and not wanting to come back.”

On October 3, the band will play their biggest headline gig to date at London’s ICA. It follows a sold-out show at Corsica Studios last night (March 27).

They will also play a series of festivals including slots at Latitude, Truck and Bristol Sounds.
