Billie Eilish’s follow-up to Happier Than Ever could soon be on the horizon as the singer revealed on social media that “my album is mastered.”

Eilish hasn’t shared any other details about her first LP since 2019, nor has she penciled in a potential release date. However, an album’s mastering is typically the final step in the recording process before it’s pressed, printed, and distributed.

In September 2023, Eilish said in an interview with The Cookout that she was nearing completion on her much-anticipated follow-up to 2019’s Happier Than Ever. “There is lots of music coming,” Eilish said at the time. “There is a whole album of music coming. We’re in the final stages of making it, so that doesn’t mean it’s about to come out, but it is getting there, and it’s very exciting.”

Since the release of Happier Than Ever, Eilish has put out the two-track Guitar Songs (featuring “TV” and “The 30th”) as well as her Barbie contribution “What Was I Made For?,” which has so far won Song of the Year at the Grammys and Best Original Song at the Golden Globes, with a nomination for Best Original Song at the Academy Awards still pending.
