Arenas and stadiums may beckon, but last night's show in aid of CALM saw Fontaines D.C. play a one-off intimate date in London

On the eve of releasing their fifth album Dopamine Chamber, Fontaines D.C. headed to London’s Roundhouse last night for a very special one-off show. Check out our exclusive photos in full below.
The band headed to the North London venue for a one-off date in aid of the Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM), a markedly intimate contrast to their arena tour later this year and their first ever stadium dates in 2027.
Last’s night gig offered a chance for fans to hear Dopamine Chamber cuts for the first time – including ‘Tongue’ and the woozy ‘Japan’ – while the rest of the setlist offered an eclectic balance of their other four albums.
And, as our photos from top RS UK photographer Aaron Parsons reveal, it was a chance for the band to get up close and personal with their fans. At one point, Grian Chatten was seen reaching out and holding fans with the Roundhouse crowd.

In our five star review of Dopamine Chamber, we hailed the album as “truly special”.
“All this is evidence of an endlessly thrilling evolution few would have predicted when these scrappy post-punkers first emerged from Dublin’s Workman’s Club at the tail end of the 2010s,” our verdict stated.
“If 2024’s Romance saw the band embrace the surreal and otherworldly, this record comes straight back down to Earth and, ironically, has something important to say about our increasingly otherworldly reality. We might be sailing towards the abyss, but generational bands like Fontaines D.C. are ensuring that the journey will sound glorious.”
