Kasabian announce new album ‘Act III’ and share new track ‘Great Pretender’
The Leicester legends return in July.
Kasabian have announced their new album Act III, as well as sharing the new track ‘Great Pretender’.
The group’s latest record arrives on July 17th, just weeks after their huge show at London’s Finsbury Park. ‘Great Pretender’, you sense, is an anthem in waiting for that huge date.
“‘Great Pretender’ is about imposter syndrome not as a weakness, but as a sign you’re on the edge of something real,” frontman Serge Pizzorno said of the single. “It’s that feeling right before you step on stage, when the lights go down and it’s now or never.”
The band’s ninth studio album was recorded at Serge’s home studio The Sergery and Club Ralph, as well as being produced by Serge and Mark Ralph.
‘Great Pretender’, meanwhile, marks the third taste of the album and follows on from ‘Hippie Sunshine’, as well as ‘Release the Pressure’, their non-album collab with Calvin Harris.
