Lidl releases genius ‘Lidl By Lidl’ Oasis inspired jacket
It's available at Lidl cost too...

We’re two days away from the Oasis reunion and Lidl have created their own limited edition jacket inspired by the band, as well as giving it a genius title.
Liam and Noel Gallagher will play their first gigs together in 16 years at UK venues including London’s Wembley Stadium and Manchester’s Heaton Park this summer, with the tour later going onto Australia, North America, South America and Asia.
Now, the aptly christened Lidl By Lidl jacket might just be *the* unlikely accessory for the reunion gigs, combining Liam’s iconic looks with an accessible bit of high-street style.
The supermarket giant says the jacket was created in response to Liam Gallagher’s Berghaus campaign which attracted unlikely comparisons to Lidl’s distinctive blue and yellow colour scheme. It features two built-in drink cooling pockets to stop lagers getting warm on the walk to venues such as Manchester’s Heaton Park or London’s Wembley Stadium this summer. Drinking from bottles instead? No problem, the zipper doubles as a bottle opener, too.
It also comes complete with a Lidl by Lidl badge on the sleeve, as well as a tambourine to live out your true Liam.
All fans need to do is head to www.lidlbylidl.co.uk at 10am Wednesday 9th July. Lidl is going the extra mile and donating all proceeds from the jacket launch to its charity partner, the NSPCC.
The jacket was unveiled this morning via a 30ft wonderwall outside Manchester’s Etihad Stadium – a place close to the hearts of both City loving brothers. It comes after Lidl previously received a shoutout from LG last year when he posted that he would “Gig in Lidl”5 in the midst of uncertainties around his Co-op Live arena shows, leading the supermarket to mark the gig that ‘almost was’ with a blue plaque at its Newton Heath store.

Joanna Gomer, Marketing Director at Lidl GB says of the campaign: “In celebration of one of the biggest reunion tours for music & culture, we wanted to give consumers ‘everything they ever dreamed of’ and create something iconic. With Oasis’s ‘Definitely Maybe’ album and Lidl GB both marking 30 years, this jacket taps into the love the nation has not only for Lidl fashion, but also our brand and the band.
“Whether heading to a gig, or for those that want to look ‘supersonic’ at the supermarket, we have created something fun, functional, and full of character, just like the music that inspired it. The ‘Lidl by Lidl’ jacket is more than just merch – it’s a tribute to our fans, the moments, and the memories that have defined the last three decades.”
For those who miss out on the jackets, Lidl will be giving away the ultimate duo of Britpop accessories – a branded bucket hat and pair of Lidl aviators, available on the website for free.
The comeback gigs – which begin in Cardiff on Friday (July 4) – will see Oasis supported by Richard Ashcroft and Cast.
