London’s House Against Hate protest draws thousands to Trafalgar Square
A massive show of solidarity in London.

Thousands of protestors gathered at Trafalgar Square on Saturday (March 28) for the Together Against the Far Right demonstration, which rallied against the rise of the far right in UK politics.
Speeches came from figures including Green Party leader Zack Polanski, while the rally turned into a rave for the House Against Hate event, organised by R3 Soundsystem. DJs and artists such as Ben UFO, Katy B, Shygirl, Hot Chip, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, and GIDEÖN (the mastermind behind R3 Soundsystem) all performed at the event.
“I know people have been scared, and we have been afraid, but days like this are here to send a message,” Polanski also told the crowd.
“A message to Tommy Robinson, to Nigel Farage, to those who appease them,” Polanski continued. “The message is clear when we turn up in hundreds, in our thousands, in hundreds of thousands. We are unstoppable.”
He added: “We see what’s happening in the United States. We see children snatched in the streets. We see people shot in cold blood. We see the warmongering, and the right, the far right, they see that as their blueprint.”
“But people in this country have seen Reform for who they really are,” he said. “They would have dragged us into this illegal and unpopular war. And we say today, this is not in our name. This is the day of war. I’m looking out today. I see so many flags and so many slogans. I know we are here for our migrant communities, for our trans communities, for the Palestinians. Our struggles are interconnected, and we stand in solidarity.”
Organisers say that 500,000 people showed up at the event, though that figure is yet to be independently verified.
Other performers at House Against Hate included Celeste, Ahadadream, Bimini, Melvo Baptise, Subb-an, Ben UFO, Jessie Ware, Yazmin Lacey, Norman Jay MBE, Greentea Selecta, Daniel Avery, Body Movements DJs, Jumpin Jack Frost, Chloé Caillet, A Guy Called Gerald, Gideön, Hot Chip (DJ set), Benji B, Tash LC, Sarah Story, Shygirl, Jon Hopkins, DJ Boring and Moxie.
