Rita Ora has released a fiery new single, ‘Ask and You Shall Receive.’ Raye co-wrote the song, which is accompanied by a music video directed by Dano Cerny.

“The song is full of upbeat, summery vibes and is about seizing the moment romantically, and diving straight in with that special someone,” Ora said in a statement. “It was co-written by the amazing Raye, which feels like such a full circle moment, as I have so many amazing memories from when we were on the road together for the Phoenix tour.”

The sultry music video, shot in LA, is set in a 24-hour laundromat and draws inspiration from the 1985 Levis 501 commercial starring Nick Kamen. Ora’s husband, filmmaker Taika Waititi, can be spotted as the laundromat attendant counting cash as she arrives to wash the outfit she’s wearing before eventually smashing the place up with a bat.

“This video, we put heart, soul, blood, lashes into one of the most ambitious, challenging, creative shoots I’ve ever been part of it,” Ora shared on Instagram. “Thanks to every single person who brought this to life.”

Ora recently teased new music during an appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show. She told Kelly Clarkson she planned to release something on June 2 (we’re a few days early), noting, “It’s new. It’s a whole new thing for me.”

The singer is set to perform at Mighty Hoopla 2024 in London’s Brockwell Park on June 2, where she said fans can expect to hear the new music live. She will also play Germany’s Panama Open Air in June, as well as festivals in Hungary, Romania, and Slovakia later this summer.

“I’m really looking forward to just getting back on the road,” she told Clarkson. “I feel like I haven’t done a show in a long time. I haven’t toured in so long and I just feel like I need to get back to my music roots.” She added, “It’s time to just sing some songs.”

Ora’s last album, You & I, dropped in June 2023. It featured singles “You Only Love Me,” “Praising You,” and “Don’t Think Twice,” and followed her 2018 LP, Phoenix. Ora used the music video for “You Only Love Me,” released last January, to announce her marriage to Waititi.
