Rosalía and Rauw Alejandro have released a collaborative three-track EP – and seemingly confirmed their engagement in the process.

The Latin pop stars previously broke the news that they were in a relationship back in September 2021, and have worked together on music before, with Alejandro having co-written Rosalía’s 2022 single ‘Chicken Teriyaki’. Now, they’ve dropped RR, a three-song joint effort, and released a video for lead single ‘Beso’ which culminates with a scene of an emotional Rosalía wearing a wedding ring.

You can see the video below; it includes never-before-seen footage of the pair as they travel the world, following them through the UK, US, Japan, Puerto Rico, France, Dominican Republic and Spain. In a statement, the pair confirmed that RR represents a chronicle of their romantic journey to date.

“For us it’s always love first and everything else later, but we skipped that this time so we could finish RR and share it with the world,” explained Rosalía. “After more than three years these three songs are here and each one of them belongs to a different stage of love.”

“We always knew we wanted to do music together,” added Alejandro. “However, with our relationship being the focus, we had to find the right time. A long time has passed by now and finding a way to fit all my feelings for her in three songs has been nearly impossible. This means I will be spending my days writing and writing many more songs about and with her. We’re thrilled with this project. RR forever!”

Rosalía released a new single, ‘LLYLM’, in January, just days before she scooped the Grammy Award for Best Latin Rock or Alternative Album. On Sunday, she is expected to announce details of a commercial team-up with Spanish car brand Cupra, with the brand having teased it with cryptic billboards in Madrid, Mexico City and Rosalía’s hometown of Barcelona earlier this week (March 22).

Alejandro’s last album was November’s Saturno; he’s since followed it up with collaborations with Daddy Yankee and Ángel Dior, and is currently supporting the album on a North American tour.
