The Snuts announce fourth album ‘Joy In Short Moments’
“[It’s a call] to take life less seriously and dilute ego as often as possible," says frontman Jack Cochrane of lead single 'Defibrillator'.

The Snuts have announced their fourth album Joy In Short Moments, as well as sharing the first single ‘Defibrillator’.
The latest record from the Scottish band will arrive on October 23 via Happy Artist Records in partnership with Virgin Music Group.
The first taste of the record comes in ‘Defibrillator’, a summer-geared anthem which sees frontman Jack Cochrane celebrating the joys of “opting to show up for the people around you, stop getting caught up in ego, and finding moments of joy by being present with those around you”.
“I wanted to write a track that detailed a conscious decision to live and love more,” the frontman said.
“[It’s a call] to take life less seriously and dilute ego as often as possible. ‘Defibrillator’ is a song that celebrates the collective and trivialises the sludgy worries of being alive.”
As for the album itself, Cochrane explained how it sees the band showing appreciation for the small things.
Explaining how that related to his own life, Cochrane said: ““After three records of constant motion, I felt pulled back towards real life. Success, failure, parenthood and loss all found their way into these songs. ‘Joy in Short Moments’ is the sound of reconnecting with what matters and learning to find meaning in the small things whilst navigating the questions; Who am I? Where should I be? Where am I going? What makes it all worthwhile?”
They will also hit the road later this year for one of their biggest tours to date. Check out full details of that below.
