The actor portrayed Bob Dylan in the celebrated biopic, which was nominated for a slew of awards at the BAFTAs and Oscars. Chalamet also received praise for performing Dylan’s hits with his own voice, instead of choosing to mime them.
Now, it’s claimed that he’ll take that voice down to Worthy Farm next month when he performs a secret Bob Dylan set at Glastonbury 2025.
According to The Sun, Chalamet will join Dylan tribute group Not Completely Unknown when they take to the Acoustic Stage on the Saturday of the festival (June 28). It also chimes with the group’s listing on Glastonbury’s website, which cryptically offers the promise of “special guests”.
It would mark the first time that Chalamet has performed Dylan songs outside of promotional duties for the film, having previously performed a trio of tracks alongside James Blake on SNL earlier this year. He performed a full-band version of ‘Outlaw Blues’ from 1965’s Bringing It All Back Home during his appearance on the show. That performance then transitioned into ‘Three Angels’ from 1970’s New Morning, which saw him joined by Blake. He then concluded with an acoustic run of Tomorrow Is A Long Time.
This year’s Glastonbury Festival will be headlined by The 1975, Neil Young and Olivia Rodrigo. You can check out the whole line-up here.
