Warpaint have announced dates for their first UK and European tour in five years.

The Los Angeles indie-rock group are set to return in spring 2022 for a string of shows in May and June, starting in Bristol and rounding up the UK leg at The Roundhouse in London.

The four-piece will also tour Manchester, Glasgow, Dublin and Bexhill before heading off to Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, and Poland.

Warpaint‘s May shows will be followed by a slot at Primavera Sound in Barcelona, Spain on June 3 2022.

The band are currently working on their new album, having recently released ‘Lily’s in April, which appeared in the HBO series ‘Made For Love’.

UK presale will be available from 10am on October 20, with general tickets on sale from 10am on October 22. Presale tickets can be accessed by pre-ordering the new album on the website before 6pm October 19.

Guitarist and vocalist Theresa Wayman spoke to NME in April about the currently untitled new album.

“There’s a song from my higher self to my lower self on there, and a song about not needing to have anchors to anything,” she said.

She also shared that bandmate Emily Kokal has written a song called ‘Trouble’. “It’s about always feeling like you’re doing something wrong,” she said.

“It reminds me of when I was young and it was Saturday morning and my mum would wake me up because she didn’t want me to sleep in and waste my day. It made me feel guilty for the rest of my life.”
