Duran Duran are back with a debauched new video for ‘ANNIVERSARY’, and they roped in a few familiar faces to get involved.

It seems the real Elton John, Stormzy and Madonna were all busy so the band used celeb lookalikes to feature in the new video.

Set in an 11th-century castle, Duran Duran star as themselves in the video opposite younger versions of themselves.

Based in Belvoir Castle in Leicestershire, the video is directed by Alison Jackson. As well as lookalikes of Elton and Madonna, there are also appearances from copycat versions of Brad Pitt and Daniel Craig.

Duran Duran will release a new album this, Friday, October 22. The video was filmed over the course of three days and features a hedonistic party with swimming pools, gigs in the living room, and a Queen lookalike can’t keep up with the fun.

Duran Duran bassist John Taylor said: “‘ANNIVERSARY’ is a special song for us. Obviously, we were conscious of our own impending 40th anniversary of making music together, but we wanted the song’s meaning to be inclusive in the broadest possible way.

He added: “After playing and working together for so long, we very much appreciate what ‘being together’ and ’staying together’ can really mean, it’s not something we would have thought song-worthy 40 years ago but we do today!

“It was also fun to build a track with hints of previous Duran hits, they’re like Easter eggs, for the fans to find.”

The band are also hosting a special livestream event via Dreamstage.

It takes place this Thursday, October 21, with a live Q&A with the band going over memories from their incredible career.

You can get tickets here.

As well as the Q&A there will also a premiere of Double Take, a 30-minute documentary film by award-winning director Gerry Fox, and Una Burnand.

Fans will get to see be behind-the-scenes of how the ‘ANNIVERSARY’ music video came together.
