The musical polymath delivers a one-off show for his fans in the new Apple Music set
Apple Music have shared the latest in their Music Room Series, which sees James Blake take centre stage.
The intimate concert series is filmed at Apple Music Studios in Los Angeles and the latest instalment sees Blake being given the chance to reinvent his illustrious back catalogue in front of a select group of fans. Watch the performance of ‘Trying Times’ exclusively below.
The performance also includes a reimagining of ‘Make Something Up,’ ‘I’ll Come Too,’ I Had a Dream She Took My Hand’, Frank Ocean’s ‘Godspeed’, ‘Are You in Love?’ and ‘Feel It Again.’
It’s available in immersive Spatial Audio, exclusively on Apple Music, exclusively for subscribers.
In March, Blake released his seventh album Trying Times, which Rolling Stone UK hailed for amplifying his position as one of the most “distinctive voices in British music”.
“James Blake’s seventh studio album sees him settling into a new sonic landscape while trying to make sense of the relentless nature of modern life,” our verdict stated.
“It’s also his first independent album and reflects his recent moves to take full control of his musical universe. It comes together to make an album that is Blake at his most confident, despite the uncertainty at large that looms over the record.”
