Hear Oasis’ huge rendition of ‘Cigarettes & Alcohol’ from Manchester show
Ahead of the band returning to London tomorrow, get a window into the chaos at the recent hometown Heaton Park gigs

Ahead of their return to London tomorrow (25 July), Oasis have shared a version of ‘Cigarettes & Alcohol’ from one of their huge hometown gigs in Manchester.
Liam and Noel Gallagher played five shows at Heaton Park over the last two weeks, following on from their hugely-anticipated Live ‘25 tour kicking off in Cardiff at the start of the month.
The band had previously shared a recording of ‘Slide Away’ from the opening night of the tour in Cardiff, and now give fans a window into the Heaton Park chaos with a recording of ‘Cigarettes & Alcohol’ from their 11 July show.
Listen to the recording below.
In our five-star review of Oasis’ tour opener, Rolling Stone UK said: “Compared to the build-up, the gig itself is largely drama-free. They play the hits superbly, backed by a band on top form, and look suitably nonplussed while doing it. The brothers take up their old roles — Liam is the rabble rouser, asking fans to do the Poznan dance of his beloved Manchester City during ‘Cigarettes & Alcohol’; Noel is his composed sidekick – as if they never left.”
Elsewhere, the rumoured Oasis documentary about the tour is apparently not happening, according to its creator, while Liam Gallagher has joked that Oasis gigs are safe for cheaters after a CEO was caught having an affair when projected onto the big screen at a Coldplay gig in the US.
“Doesn’t matter to us who you’re fucking mingling with, or tingling with, or fingering with. It’s none of our fucking business,” Gallagher told the Manchester crowd.
