Rolling Stone UK has been shortlisted for Consumer Publication of the Year at this year’s PPA Independent Publisher Awards, recognising the very best of Britain’s independent media.
Published by parent company Stream Publishing, Rolling Stone UK stands alongside its sister publication Attitude, which is also shortlisted in three categories. Competing with major titles including National Geographic, The Big Issue, The Week Junior and HELLO!, Rolling Stone UK’s nomination cements its position as one of the most culturally resonant media brands in the country.
Since launching in 2021, Rolling Stone UK has reignited one of the world’s most iconic publishing names for a new generation. The brand has grown exponentially across print, digital, and live experiences – capturing the pulse of modern music fandom and amplifying the voices that define British culture today. Its covers have featured everyone from Elton John to Rina Sawayama, Wolf Alice, Lorde and Stray Kids, sparking global conversation and millions of impressions across social media.
Against a backdrop of industry decline, Rolling Stone UK continues to deliver explosive growth in circulation, subscriptions and event revenues – proving that print and passion are far from dead. This year also marks the third edition of the Rolling Stone UK Awards, returning to London’s Roundhouse on 20 November 2025 to celebrate the best in music, film and television alongside new partner ZYN.
Darren Styles OBE, managing director of Stream Publishing and Publisher of Rolling Stone UK, said: “Rolling Stone is one of the most iconic names in global publishing, and I’ve been trying to bring it home to the UK since first pitching the idea to Jann Wenner back in 2004. It took a pandemic and a fair bit of persistence, but launching Rolling Stone UK in 2021 gave British music and culture the seat at the table it’s always deserved.
“To now be shortlisted for Consumer Publication of the Year is an incredible recognition of what our team has built – and I’m hugely grateful to our partner ZYN for standing with us as we continue to champion creativity, individuality and the artists shaping this country’s cultural heartbeat.”
The winners of the PPA Independent Publisher Awards 2025 will be announced in London on 21 November 2025.
