LIDO has won The Festival Award at tonight’s ZYN Rolling Stone UK Awards 2025.

The festival, which made its bow in 2025, beat the likes of Green Man, Glastonbury, All Points East, Body Movements and GALA to the award.

Picking up the award, LIDO rep Chris Goodman said: “There are three things about LIDO: the headliners curate all the artists with incredible lineups. It’s a great part of the community. There are free arts midweek for the local people. They work with local students to give them real life music industry experience.

“Then there’s the really sustainable part of it. In fact, I think it was the first day, with Massive Attack’s help and expertise, the entire festival ran on batteries for 32 hours. The whole main stage runs on batteries as much as possible. That’s only going to get better and better.”

LIDO has a green ethos and boundary-pushing bookings at its heart. Its first edition this year included shows from Massive Attack, Turnstile, Charli XCX and Jamie xx.

In 2026, the festival will be headlined by Maribou State, CMAT and more TBA.

The ZYN Rolling Stone UK Awards 2025 kicked off earlier tonight with a performance from Myles Smith, who also won The Breakthrough Award. Other award winners so far include Biffy Clyro, Bob Geldof and Wunderhorse.

Tonight’s awards will close out with a special one-off performance from The Cranberries‘ Noel Hogan and Australian duo Royel Otis, who went viral recently with their cover of the band’s hit single ‘Linger’.
