AMIRI reimagines the decadence of 1970s Los Angeles for AW26
Silk, sequins and leather dominate the campaign inspired by West Coast glamour
Forget the comically flared bell-bottoms and towering platforms that have long dominated perceptions of 1970s style. The decade’s more seductive side is proving ripe for reinvention, with louche tailoring, rich textures and a distinctly decadent approach to dressing up. It’s this version of the era that AMIRI has made its own, and continues to explore for Autumn/Winter 2026.
Forever inspired by the hedonistic glamour that defined the era, founder and creative director Mike Amiri puts West Coast after-hours excess at the centre of the brand’s latest campaign. Set in an imagined Laurel Canyon – the legendary epicentre of LA’s 1960s and ’70s music scene, where the likes of Joni Mitchell and Jim Morrison made music history – the campaign refines the era’s bohemian spirit for a new generation of artists.

Shot by Myles Hendrik, the campaign brings together a cast of AMIRI characters, including global brand ambassador Yuta Jinguji, British musician Bakar and electronic duo The Hellp.
The collection takes the best of 1970s style and refines it for the modern wardrobe, spanning plush velvet tailoring, embroidered Western details and reworked American classics. Silk, sequins and leather dominate, adding a touch of disco-era glamour to its otherwise rugged, Americana-inspired aesthetic.
With today’s trendsetters embracing its unapologetic attitude, AMIRI has never looked more at home than it does now. Because if there’s one thing the brand has always understood, it’s that great style needs a little sex, scandal and a lot of partying.
