Kojey Radical shows us how to pull off AMIRI with ease
Sitting front row at the Spring/Summer 2027 show, the British rapper embraced the collection’s laid-back attitude
No stranger to pulling a look, Kojey Radical’s style is as bold as his music. Still, for the AMIRI Spring/Summer 2027 runway show, he leaned fully into the brand’s effortless take on West Coast dressing, mirroring its relaxed approach with understated confidence front row.
The look was simple but unmistakably AMIRI. Fluid shirting, adorned with an embroidered japonais floral motif, was worn unbuttoned for the perfect dose of sleaze. Vintage-inspired flared check trousers and sleek leather boots completed the refined retro ensemble.
It’s a style that embodied the philosophy of the collection. “I’m always fascinated by this idea of ease,” explains Mike Amiri. “The idea of an American attitude, how to translate that to clothing. For AMIRI, I always want to combine that with glamour – for him, and for her.”
With Los Angeles as AMIRI’s constant source of inspiration, this season turned its gaze to Malibu at sunset – that in-between moment when the day loosens, and dressing becomes more relaxed before a night of hedonism ahead.
American Gigolo and the ever-enviable off-duty style of Richard Gere in the 1980s defined the look with strong shoulders balanced with the ease of denim. The collection softens the silhouette through fluid proportions, reworking that era’s precision into something more relaxed.
It’s a classic all-American combo, redefined through AMIRI’s lens. Cowboy culture dressed up for the LA crowd. That, of course, means an injection of glamour. Louche tailoring and a clash of retro prints are elevated with snakeskin trousers and flashes of shimmering lurex knitwear.
Womenswear takes a similar turn, albeit a bit more bohemian than cowboy. Lace blouses and tasselled metallic threads bring texture and movement, softened by flowing silhouettes and an easy, undone attitude that mirrors the collection’s relaxed take on glamour.
Completing the look is a collaboration between AMIRI and Spinelli Kilcollin, the luxury Los Angeles jewellery brand, which elevates the styling with sculptural, stacked pieces that reinforce the collection’s refined sense of ease.
Together, these elements distil a new West Coast language: polished but unforced, cinematic yet wearable – a refined vision of modern LA style where glamour and ease exist in perfect balance.
