Mel C turns Covent Garden into her dancefloor with Sunglass Hut
Celebrating the launch of the ‘Own Your Moment’ campaign with a DJ set, Sporty Spice showcased her exclusive edit of sunnies
When Mel C was announced as the global summer ambassador of Sunglass Hut, she (and the brand) promised this wouldn’t be your average campaign. The Spice Girl delivered with a DJ set in Covent Garden, ringing in the brand’s ‘Own Your Moment’ campaign
At the heart of it all was the campaign’s message: fashion as expression, not formality. Sunglass Hut’s “Own Your Moment” platform leans into that idea of individuality and energy, and Mel C’s set gave it a physical pulse. Less polished runway, more lived-in celebration.

Alongside the music, the brand showcased key styles from Mel C’s edit, featuring sunglasses from heavy hitters like Ray-Ban and Oakley, as well as fashion-forward frames from labels including Diesel. Think sharp silhouettes, tinted lenses, and bold shapes designed for maximum sun and maximum presence.
Introduced in 2025, the “Own Your Moment” campaign brings together community, self-expression, and a sense of shared summer energy. Rather than treating sunglasses as a finishing touch, the platform positions them as a way of stepping into your own spotlight—however that looks.

From spontaneous DJ sets to in-store takeovers and curated edits, the campaign creates space for people to show up as themselves, connect with others, and lean into a more playful side of style.
The Covent Garden pop-up also offered visitors a chance to browse and try on the selection in real time, turning the space into a hybrid of retail, installation, and impromptu dance floor.
