Few electronics brands have a history quite like Bang & Olufsen. Over the past century, the Danish company has created products that redefine minimalism, craftsmanship, and sound. From iconic designs like the 1996 Beosound 9000 to the contemporary pieces reimagined in their new Century Collection, B&O’s legacy is one of timeless design and innovation.

This year, the Copenhagen Opera House served as the backdrop for the brand’s 100th anniversary. With more than 250 guests in attendance, including VIPs such as supermodel Helena Christensen and Formula One driver Charles Leclerc, the evening became a reflection of Bang & Olufsen’s unmistakable cultural reach.

Music was, appropriately, at the forefront of the celebration. Opening the night was a performance by acclaimed Danish musician Christoffer before guests were led to the ‘Elevated Club’. There, sets by MØ and Mel C brought the brand’s latest campaign, ‘Sound. Elevated’ to life on the dance floor.

The campaign traces the evolution of the Danish brand throughout the decades. Founded in 1925 by Peter Bang and Svend Olufsen, the company has continually pushed the boundaries of audio innovation while never compromising on style.

As part of the celebrations guests were familiarised with initiates like the Recreated Classics programme. Bringing new meaning to timeless design, the programme breathes new life into icons like the Beogram 4000 turntable and Beosound 9000 CD player. Rebuilding them from their original components and elevating them with modern connectivity. The result? Not replicas, but revived masterpieces.

Still, at the heart of the festivities was the Centennial Collection. Looking ahead to the next century, Bang & Olufsen is mining its vast archives for inspiration. By reimagining three of their iconic contemporary classics, the brand proves that timeless design isn’t just preserved, it evolves.

Equipped with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, long-lasting battery, and built-in charging, what more could you want from a modern speaker? Inspired by Bang & Olufsen’s midcentury radios, the Beosound A5 gets a nostalgic makeover with a raffia weave. Wrapped in a brushed aluminium frame and finished with a red leather strap, it’s a retro wink with decidedly modern swagger.

While sleek chrome often defines Bang & Olufsen’s iconic designs, for their birthday, it’s all about colour. Bang & Olufsen reimagines their over-ear headphones in a bold Century Red, turning a classic silhouette into a statement piece with immersive sound and advanced noise cancellation.

Two Danish style icons collide in this reinterpretation of Bang & Olufsen’s ultimate at home stereo. Teaming up with Kvadrat, the sculptural Beosound A9 tripod speaker is covered in a bold checkered weave in Century Blue and Chestnut brown. Brushed aluminium legs and ring nod to Bang & Olufsen’s ’80s heritage, while anniversary engravings and vibrant Century Blue feet and cable seal the deal.
