Happy ‘The Celebrity Traitors’ final day! The Faithfuls surely have to win, right?

It's the final of ‘The Celebrity Traitors’ tonight and our columnist reckon he knows how it's gonna do down...

Last week I put my neck on the line and said that if The Traitors didn’t win then it would be a fumble for the ages. But this was before Jonathan went and Joe Marler truly came into his own. Now, I’m genuinely in a position where I think it’s going to be the biggest fumble ever if The Faithfuls don’t win!

Firstly, I think they need to look at the fact that Cat is the only woman left in the game and there’s not been a single one who’s been a traitor so far. You’d reasonably think there would be a female Traitor in this celeb game, and I fear that Cat has shot herself in the foot. If she hadn’t tried to banish Kate and banish Celia, there would be a decent chance at deflecting attention and blame their way. Now, she’s the only female left in the game, and I wouldn’t be surprised if the attention went her way.

And again, with this final, you no longer reveal whether you’re a Traitor or Faithful and I think that makes it even harder. Because if you have any slight suspicion of who you think it might be, you’re just going to get rid of them anyway. Like, why even give yourself a chance to get it wrong? You’d be tempted to go down to just one person you can trust.

That person, for Joe Marler, should be Nick Mohammed. We’ve seen their trust of each other grow throughout the show and hopefully they can get David on side too. As it stands, I just can’t see any way The Traitors get out of this, unless Joe and Nick turn on each other.

Those two have also been amazing at realising that being a Faithful isn’t just about being honest, open and catching Traitors. It’s about survival, and I really like the way that Joe has had some correct suspicions but has purposely gone for other people. It’s a really smart thing to do because you don’t put a target on your back, you’re staying close to the traitors, and if anything, they’re being more traitor-ish because they’re sidling up to them in order to stay in the game!

Oh, and Nick Mohammed needs his flowers. For all the take of Stephen Fry being a genius, he’s been an unbelievable player undertaking a brilliant game. The thought of claiming he sabotaged the game wasn’t his greatest hour, but aside from that, a really shrewd guy and, as I said, someone who could go all the way with Joe

I really think it’s a win for The Faithfuls, but I am, of course, still backing Cat and Alan all the way. Team Traitors FOREVER. Enjoy the final and see you next week for a debrief…
