A!MS Drops Peak Season

A!MS has released his new album Peak Season, a nine-track record that features Julian Marley, ArrDee, Ramz and more. The LP, out September 12 via 3fifty7, was recorded in Cyprus and co-produced with Cool & Dre, Antaeus, Michelin Shin, Golden and others.

Defining the “Global Street” Sound

At the center of the project is A!MS’s vision for what he calls “Global Street,” a genre he describes as a home for those outside the industry’s traditional boundaries. “Global Street, or Street Global, depending how street or how global you want it to sound, is a new genre for the outsiders, a sound identity for those beyond traditional industry definitions,” A!MS said.

He said, f“It’s built for the creators of today – influencers, streamers, sneaker collectors, and more – and shaped by the idea that the next global star can come from anywhere. It’s a genre that breaks the limits others try to impose, where music is timeless, art is limitless, and the power is back in the hands of the people.”

Standout Collaborations and Tracks

Highlights from the album include “Light & Love,” a collaboration with Julian Marley, Antaeus and Hypertone, which carries a message of unity and upliftment. Another key track is “Need Somebody” featuring ArrDee, which channels infectious Afrobeat energy.

Finding Inspiration in Cyprus

For A!MS, making the record in Cyprus was essential. “This gave me space away from London’s hustle to find my own sound,” he said. “It’s my version of what Jamaica was for Bob Marley: a creative haven, free from noise and influence, where something truly global could be born.”

Wave Fest: The Celebration Continues

Alongside the release, A!MS is staging his Wave Fest series at WaterWorld WaterPark in Ayia Napa. This year’s lineup features ArrDee, Lil Pump, B Young, Dappy, Oxlade, Ramz, Wiley, ZieZie and A!MS himself. The festival has become a summer highlight for fans of global hip-hop and Afrobeat.
