From Pride stages to global playlists, the singer-songwriters heartfelt dance anthems are resonating across continents.

A Breakout Moment, Years in the Making

Ashley Paul may be a new name to some, but her impact on pop and dance music has been building steadily over the years. Born in New York, her career began with the Billboard Top 20 single “When Boys Cry,” released when she was just a teenager signed to Sony. The track offered a glimpse into Ashley’s ability to translate personal emotion into chart-ready pop.

Global Reach, Local Roots

In 2025, Ashley’s presence on the international scene has expanded significantly. Her track “Bingo Baby,” co-written with Ritchie Neville of UK pop group Five, has garnered over a million streams and charted across Asia, France, South America, and the U.S., peaking at #2 on Amazon Music. With its energetic synths and catchy hooks, the song has quickly become a fan favorite.

Music with Meaning

Her next single, “Dance U Gotta,” emerged from a personal moment of introspection. “I was having one of those days,” Ashley says. “I looked up at the sky and just started writing.” Co-produced and co-written with Luv Foundation (UK), BootlegBoys, and Lucas Marx (son of Richard Marx), the track is a blend of upbeat rhythms and emotional undertones—a celebration of resilience through music.

Ashley’s recent collaborations reflect her versatility as an artist. In addition to working with Joel Diamond, she has teamed up with Five Star’s Denise Pearson and is currently creating new music with Luv Foundation (UK), focusing on themes of empowerment and inclusion.

Her live performances have also gained momentum. “Dance U Gotta” became a highlight at Glasgow Pride, where she performed at the historic Barrowlands Ballroom. The track resonated deeply with the crowd, becoming an unofficial anthem of the event.

Looking Ahead

Ashley is set to perform at Chicago Pride on June 21st, joining a lineup that includes Deborah Cox and Jesse McCartney. For Ashley, these appearances are about more than entertainment—they’re about creating connection.

“Music is joy. Music is survival,” she says. “It’s how I dance through it all—heels, heartbreaks, and high notes included.”

Ashley Paul’s sound draws inspiration from classic disco and modern pop, yet her voice and perspective are uniquely her own. Her music blends dancefloor energy with lyrical depth, appealing to a wide range of listeners while staying true to her story.
