Caldwell is proving that independent artists can dominate the industry on their own terms. The South Carolina native has spent years crafting a sound that refuses to be boxed in, blending country, rock, and hip-hop into something uniquely his. With an Amazon #1 single under his belt, a successful summer tour, and a highly anticipated debut album on the horizon, Caldwell is showing no signs of slowing down. His latest single, “Get Out The Way,” featuring Billboard-charting rapper Fivio Foreign, is a testament to his fearless genre-bending approach. Released on February 20, 2025, via Plush Records x Death To Normalcy/ADA x Warner, the track is a high-energy anthem that fuses Southern storytelling with the gritty, hard-hitting flow that has made Fivio a staple in modern rap.

The Road to His Debut Album

“Get Out The Way” serves as the lead single for Caldwell’s upcoming debut album, expected to drop in Q3 of 2025. The project will also feature a collaboration with rap sensation Sexyy Red, further cementing Caldwell’s ability to navigate multiple musical spaces. While many artists struggle to blend genres authentically, Caldwell thrives in it. His approach isn’t about chasing trends—it’s about staying true to his influences while pushing music forward.

His previous singles, including his debut hit “Flyin’ Pass”—later remixed by Mod Sun and Yung Pinch—have already showcased his ability to create chart-topping records independently. The

momentum carried over into his live performances, where he spent the past summer delivering electric shows that proved he’s not just a studio artist but a full-fledged entertainer. Whether it’s an intimate venue or a festival stage, Caldwell brings the same intensity, a trait that has helped him cultivate a fiercely loyal fanbase.

Roots and Influences

Born and raised in Greenville, South Carolina, Caldwell’s journey into music started at an early age. He picked up the drums at five years old, but by high school, his passion for songwriting had taken over. Instead of following a traditional path, he leaned into his diverse influences—pulling inspiration from the raw storytelling of Eminem’s Recovery, the sharp lyricism of Big Sean’s Dark Sky Paradise, and the boundary-pushing artistry of Elvis Presley, Bruno Mars, Justin Bieber, and Morgan Wallen. This eclectic mix of inspirations led to a sound that is both familiar and refreshingly original.

An Artist in Constant Evolution

His evolution as an artist has been marked by constant reinvention. From his early days as SOS Lo to So Logan, and now simply Caldwell, he’s refined his artistry, message, and purpose. Despite coming from a privileged background, he faced skepticism for making rap music. Instead of letting outside opinions dictate his path, he doubled down on his work ethic and faith, using every challenge as fuel to push forward.

Caldwell’s music is deeply personal. His lyrics tackle everything from heartbreak to resilience, offering an unfiltered look at life’s highs and lows. His authenticity is what sets him apart—there’s no manufactured image, just a guy who believes in staying true to himself. That philosophy extends beyond music. He finds balance in his family, faith, and football, crediting his wife, kids, parents, and God for keeping him grounded as his career reaches new heights.

Breaking Boundaries and Looking Ahead

With “Get Out The Way,” Caldwell is making it clear that he’s not here to fit in—he’s here to lead. The single’s hard-hitting production, blending trap, drill, and country influences, pushes genre lines further than ever before. Fivio Foreign’s signature flow complements Caldwell’s energetic delivery, resulting in a track that feels both raw and anthemic. It’s the perfect setup for an album that promises to be just as boundary-breaking.

As one of the most exciting independent artists right now, Caldwell isn’t waiting for permission to shake up the industry—he’s already doing it. His ability to connect with audiences across multiple genres proves that great music doesn’t need a label to make an impact. With an album on the way, and momentum at an all-time high, he’s showing that success isn’t about fitting into a mold—it’s about breaking it entirely. Behind “Beers & Baddies”

Following the momentum of “Get Out The Way,” Caldwell doubles down on his genre-bending swagger with the release of “Beers & Baddies,” featuring viral rap star Sexyy Red. The track is a high-octane celebration of self-confidence and Southern charm—what Caldwell calls “a damn good time.” Infused with unapologetic party energy and a bold fusion of country and hip-hop, the song encapsulates his fearless approach to music.

Beers & Baddies is the track you throw on when you’re ready to let loose,” Caldwell says. “It’s confident, it’s bold, and it’s got that Southern party vibe laced with hip-hop swagger.” With its electric energy and no-holds-barred attitude, the song embodies Caldwell’s mission to create music that defies convention while staying true to who he is. “I’ve never fit neatly into one box, and I wanted to make something for people who feel the same,” he explains.

The track’s creative process was as natural as its sound. “The beat dropped, the energy hit, and everything else just fell into place,” he recalls. “When Sexyy jumped on the track, she brought that extra fire. After that, it was game over.”

For Caldwell, the heart of “Beers & Baddies” is freedom—freedom to be loud, to be proud, and to bring your full self to the party. “It’s about turning up, owning who you are, and bringing that same energy to every part of your life,” he says. The result is a genre-defying banger that fits just as well in a dive bar as it does on a rooftop party playlist.

If the track had a motto, Caldwell jokes, it would be: “Work hard, party harder—and always keep a cold one in hand.”And his hope for fans? “Blast it, grab your crew, and go wild.”
