Luna wins Obscure Agency’s Best Emerging Artists Award at the 2026 BMVA
In partnership with Obscure Agency
The Berlin Music Video Awards have long been a meeting point for boundary-pushing visionaries and global storytelling. The 2026 edition kept that promise. The festival’s highest honor, Best Music Video, went to Povoa x Madge for “Beat Bunny.”
For the second consecutive year, the founder of Obscure Agency, Elnoir, made her way to Berlin with one mission: to find the most compelling emerging artist in the room. Last year, it was Magnet Brain. This year, one name rose above the rest: Luna.
The London-based artist took home the Obscure Agency’s Best Emerging Artist Award at this year’s edition of the BMVA. Her track “Away With The Fairies” had already earned her a nomination for Best Song, where it placed second, and she also performed during the ceremony, a moment that helped illustrate why she was selected.
A World, Not Just a Sound
Luna constructs a universe and invites you to step inside it. Somewhere between stardust and soft neon glow, her music occupies a space that feels both otherworldly and quietly intimate, a dreamy pop rooted in real emotion, built from glowing synths, pastel nostalgia, and melodies that shimmer rather than shout.
Her upcoming album, Fairy Pop, is the fullest expression of that world yet. It is her first release as a fully independent artist, and more significantly, her first fully conceptual body of work, built around an original universe she has been quietly constructing for years. Within it, fantasy and reality coexist. Every track expands the mythology.
“This era is an open invitation into a universe where music turns into magic, vulnerability becomes power, and fantasy becomes a language of intimacy,” Luna has said of the project. “It’s playful, romantic, and slightly strange, like falling in love inside a dream you don’t want to wake up from.”
The album was mixed by Chris Zane and mastered by Stuart Hawkes at Metropolis Studios, whose credits span some of the most acclaimed pop releases of the past two decades. The collaborators behind the songwriting and production are among the most respected working in contemporary pop today. The infrastructure is serious. The vision is entirely her own.
Away With The Fairies: The Spell That Started It All

The lead single introduced the world to this era, and it did so with a high degree of precision. “Away With The Fairies” draws you in. Soft synths shimmer beneath hushed vocals, creating a soundscape that feels intimate and passionate.
The track surpassed 2.2 million YouTube views and landed on more than ten Spotify New Music Friday playlists.

“Ashtray” continued the pattern: strong editorial support, a growing international audience, and a visual language with concepts crafted by Luna herself that remains consistent and unmistakably hers.
Obscure Agency’s Best Emerging Artist Award

For the 2026 edition of the Berlin Music Video Awards, Obscure Agency returned as an official media partner with an award dedicated to spotlighting one rising voice whose work carries both originality and genuine artistic direction.
The selection was made from a shortlist of candidates proposed by the BMVA team. Among the names, Luna stood out immediately. Her sound, her visuals, and the coherence of the world she is building left no room for hesitation. For the founder Elnoir the choice was instinctive and undeniable.
Obscure Agency remains committed to amplifying artists who speak with intention and to creating space for emerging talent to be seen, heard, and remembered. With Fairy Pop arriving and a universe still expanding, Luna is only just beginning to show the world what she has built.
