Viagogo is giving you the chance to make your own breakup song

Do you have a heartbreak song that you’ve always wanted to write? Well, here’s your chance.

Inspired by Lily Allen’s heartbreak album West End Girl. viagogo has announced it is giving music fans the chance to turn heartache into a professionally produced break-up track with the producer behind Simon Cowell’s hit boyband, December 10.

It comes after a new poll of 2000 UK adults revealed that Brits are sitting on a goldmine of break-up material, with almost half saying their past relationships could inspire a song.

Well, talk about putting your money where your mouth is. Applications for the free viagogo Heartbreak Sessions open from the week commencing 25th May, providing fans with the chance to turn their tears, torment and turmoil into a professionally produced track, with PATCH, the producer behind Simon Cowell’s hit boyband, December 10.

The superstar production team at viagogo’s Heartbreak Sessions also includes award-winning British songwriter Conan Mac who has collaborated with the likes of Bastille, Lucky Love and Issac Frank, as well as working across major labels including Sony Music, Warner Music Group and Capitol Records.

PATCH said: “Everyone has a story worth soundtracking. People don’t always realise how much emotion they’re carrying until they start talking about it. Breakups are universal, but the way people experience them is incredibly personal. Music has always been something people turn to during breakups, but this takes it a step further by allowing them to actively take part in the creative process. This is a once in a lifetime experience viagogo are providing and I can’t wait to welcome fans in on such a special journey.”
