Adele is rumoured to be engaged to her partner, Rich Paul.

The British singer and American sports agent have been dating since 2021 and a “very reliable source” has now claimed that the pair are planning a wedding for this summer.

Adele nor Paul have confirmed the claims, which were made in a newsletter by celebrity gossip site Deux Moi [via The Independent]. Rolling Stone UK has contacted Adele’s representatives.

Deux Moi wrote: “Per my very reliable sources, I can confirm that yes, Adele and Rich Paul are planning a summer wedding!”

Engagement rumours were sparked last February when Adele wore a large, teardrop-shaped diamond ring on her left hand at the 2022 Brit Awards.

When asked later on The Graham Norton Show about rumours of her engagement, she said: “If I was, would I ever tell anyone if I was or wasn’t?”

Last summer, Adele confirmed again that she was not engaged but added that she “absolutely” wants to marry Paul. She told ELLE at the time that she has “never been in love like this”, before adding: “I’m obsessed with him. I’m just in loooove! I’m happy as I’ll ever be. I might as well be married.”

The pop titan was previously married to Simon Konecki, with whom she shares 10-year-old son, Angelo.

Meanwhile, last year Adele moved to within one award of the entertainment industry grand slam EGOT after scooping her first Emmy.

Fewer than 20 people have achieved EGOT status, meaning that they have won a competitive Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony for excellence in television, recording, film and stage work, respectively.

The term was coined in 1984 by Miami Vice star Philip Michael Thomas, who expressed an aim to win all four within five years of his breakout on the hit cop show.

Adele joked upon receiving the award (for Outstanding Variety Special for One Night Only): “Trust me to have an EGO.”
