Apple Music have launched a new London Sessions series, which kicks off with Maisie Peters covering Brandon Flowers’ track ‘Between Me And You’.

The offshoot of the streaming service’s Sessions series, which began in Nashville last year, will welcome monthly performances from London which can be streamed across Apple services.

Discussing her choice of cover for the first session, Peters said: “’Between Me And You’ is my favourite song of all time. I feel like I hear it in a new way every time and the lyrics are so special and important to me.”

The next Apple Music London Session will come from The Last Dinner Party, before Nigerian star Ruger will play the final session of the year in December.

Speaking to Rolling Stone UK this year, Maisie Peters discussed being Ed Sheeran’s protégé, the inspiration of Taylor Swift and her future plans.

“If I were to summarise it, I’d say my music is for the quietly unhinged,” she said “That’s who I make music for if I was gonna choose a blanket statement. The quietly unhinged… And maybe also the loudly, too — there’s no shame for being loudly unhinged either. I just think that there’s a whole subculture in the world of the quietly unhinged.”
