R&B star Bellah raised the roof performing a world-exclusive set at the launch party of the Boi-1da-produced THE CONCEPT A.I. ALBUM in London on 6 December, hosted by BBC Radio 1Xtra’s Nadia Jae.

Developed in partnership with BACARDÍ as part of its Music Liberates Music campaign uplifting emerging global talents, THE CONCEPT A.I. ALBUM sees Boi-1da training A.I. systems on his signature production style, making it accessible to upcoming musicians.

Bellah, known for 2022’s Adultsville, is representing the UK on the upcoming THE CONCEPT A.I. ALBUM. The British singer performed her track ‘Something To Prove‘ from the EP for the first time ever at the party , alongside three of her biggest hits.

A whole host of stars turned out to party and enjoy an exclusive playback of the upcoming EP, including Professor Green, Cuppy, Tigerlilly Taylor, Lady Leshurr, Ghetts, and fellow THE CONCEPT A.I. ALBUM star Savannah Ré.

Four exclusive cocktails were created by BACARDÍ for guests to try throughout the evening – The Rolling Stone, Bella Bellah, El Coco Club, and Zero-Zest Cooler – bringing a taste of the Caribbean on a cold winter’s night.

As well as Bellah’s track, THE CONCEPT A.I. ALBUM also features Floyd Fuji with ‘Apollonia’, Kyle Dio with ‘All You Wanted’, Blackway with ‘Ebony’ and Savannah Ré with ‘Hall of Fame’.

Chatting with Nadia ahead of her performance, Bellah described working with legendary producer Boi-1da. “He’s fantastic. He’s really sweet. He is just chill. He was like, ‘Don’t worry, I got you.’ I told him what I wanted, I told him what I didn’t want, and he was like, ‘Don’t worry, I’ll send it back, first go.’ I was like, ‘That’s why you are who you are.’”

Taking to the stage afterwards to perform a stunning setlist of ‘Something To Prove’, ‘In The Moment’, ‘Garden’ and ‘Evil Eye’ with a full band and jaw-dropping backing dancers, Shoreditch’s Village Underground was brought to its knees in a scene of sheer fabulousity. Bellah has been described as a “rising star”, though it’s safe to say her star fully ascended last night.

And, of course, the party continued well into the evening, with the DJ spinning a soundtrack of retro and modern R&B and hip hop tunes to see everyone home with a smile on their face.
