Iceland Airwaves reveal first names for 2024 line-up

Shygirl, Joy Anonymous, Anish Kumar and more are all heading to Reykjavík later this year.

Iceland Airwaves have revealed the first names for their 2024 line-up, including Shygirl, Joy Anonymous, Anish Kumar and more.

The festival is set to return to Reykjavík on the weekend of November 7-9 and also feature the likes of Bar Italia, Charlotte Adigéry & Bolis Pupul, Mandy, Indiana and Mary In The Junkyard.

Festival Manager Ísleifur Þórhallsson said: “We are incredibly proud to be celebrating not only 25 years of Iceland Airwaves, but 25 years of playing a key part in the careers of some of the world’s most talented artists.

“Over the years we have seen many of our Airwaves alumni grow from strength to strength, often developing into some of the industry’s most acclaimed artists. It is an honour to continue to bring new talent to Reykjavik, and share our beloved Icelandic community with the world.”

Reviewing the festival’s 2022 edition, Rolling Stone UK said: “While question marks over Airwaves’ future may have emerged in the last three years, 2022’s offering proves that the festival is in ruder health than ever.
