IDLES have announced that they are set to return with a new single called ‘Dancer’ – hear a teaser of the new track below.

The Bristol band’s most recent album came in 2021 with Crawler, and will return with ‘Dancer’ on an unidentified date.

A 20-second clip of the song shared to X/Twitter sees the band’s trademark post-punk instrumentals mix with frontman Joe Talbot’s roar, before a poppier and more melodic chorus comes in, complete with gang vocals in the background.

Listen to the teaser of ‘Dancer’ below.

The news of the new single comes after IDLES announced details of their first live shows of 2024 last month, detailing a 2024 European headline tour.

The band will kick off the new tour on February 29 in Porto, going on to play gigs across the continent throughout March. The tour will end on March 23 in Frankfurt.

“We are coming to Europe, a place that brought us up with beauty and vigour. We promise to return the favour, show after show after show,” they said when announcing the tour.
