Adele has announced a US TV special to coincide with the release of her fourth album, ’30’.

’30’ is set for release on 19 November and will be her first album in six years.

The special, entitled ‘Adele: One Night Only’ has been announced as a two hour live performance and interview with Oprah Winfrey and will air on CBS on 14 November.

The singer will film the special in Los Angeles and it will be her first TV interview about the album. Adele is expected to talk to Winfrey about the inspiration behind the songs on ’30’, her weight loss, divorce and being a mother.

It is not yet known whether ‘Adele: One Night Only’ will air in the UK.

The singer previously performed a special for the BBC. ‘Adele: Live in London’ was hosted by Graham Norton and also saw her engage in some comedy sketches with fans.

Last week, after the release of ‘Easy on Me’, the lead single from ’30’, Adele told BBC Radio One that she couldn’t see herself being in music “forever”.

The ‘Hometown Glory’ singer also commented that “people won’t want me to do it forever”.

‘Easy on Me’ broke the record for most streams in a day on both Spotify and Apple Music and also see her reunite with director, Xavier Dolan, for the video. Dolan previously directed her acclaimed “Hello” video.

Adele has also discussed what fans could expect from the rest of the album after “Easy on Me” saw her on expected pop ballad form.

She also teased a more electronic sound: “I got very into Goldfrapp and I was like, ‘I can do this music too!”

Adele also stated that fans can also expect a more throwback sound from one of the songs: “There’s another one that’s very 70s, piano singer-songwritery. Just very Carpenters, very Elton John.”

’30’ sees Adele working with long-time collaborators Greg Kurstin, Max Martin and Shellback. She has also worked with new producers such as Grammy winner Ludwig Goransson and mysterious British composer, Inflo, who is known for their work with Little Simz and Michael Kiwanuka.

The singer has previously discussed that much of the album is about her divorce from Simon Konecki and how she can explain to their son the emotions she was going through.

She recently went public with her relationship with Rich Paul, who is LeBron James’ agent.

The world found out about their relationship when Adele posted a picture of her and Paul on Instagram, days after they were spotted at a basketball game together.
