AJ Tracey has returned with ‘Wifey Riddim 4’, his first new solo music of the year just as 2023 comes to an end.

The new offering from the ‘Ladbroke Rapper’ star marks the latest effort in his ‘Wifey Riddim’ series, which began in 2015. An accompanying music video for the track takes on futuristic visuals and sees the rapper exploring the streets of Tokyo.

While it’s the first solo track from the rapper since last year, his 2023 has been defined by a number of collaborations – including ‘Bonita’ with German rapper Jamal, ‘Red Dot’ with German producer DJ Jeezy and ‘179’, a team-up with New York rapper Bas.

It’s also thought that the rapper will release his next album in 2024, having previously teased that he would spend the year going into “album mode”.

“album mode 2023,” he tweeted in December last year, adding a ‘no phone’ emoji, hinting that he was taking time off social media.
