Mon the Biff! Here's what went down
By Nick Reilly

Last night saw Biffy Clyro return to Glastonbury for a massive Pyramid Stage appearance that marked their biggest slot at the festival so far.
The Scottish rock giants played just before headliners The 1975, which was a step up from 2011 when they performed third from top on the Pyramid Stage bill.
One of the set’s most significant moments saw frontman Simon Neil finish a rendition of ‘Living Is A Problem Because Everything Dies’ by leading into an a capella cover of The Beach Boys’ ‘God Only Knows’, in tribute to the late Brian Wilson. “Rest in peace Brian,” said Neil. The Biffy singer is a known fan of Wilson and The Beach Boys, with ‘God Only Knows’ chosen as the first dance at his wedding. He also has the song title tattooed on his chest.

The rest of the set largely offered a career-spanning treat for Biffy fans, while a taste of new album ‘Futique’ came in the opener ‘A Little Love’.
“Good afternoon Glastonbury, lovely to see you, we are Biffy Fucking Clyro,” said Neil at the start. “We’re gonna ask a lot of you tonight, we want some singing, some dancing, some bouncing, some clapping…some shagging. I’m sure you’ve got that part taken care of.”
Last night saw The 1975 headline for the first time ever, while tonight sees Neil Young take top billing on the Pyramid Stage.
