Black Midi have released a new covers EP called ‘Cavalcovers’, featuring tracks by Taylor Swift, King Crimson and Captain Beefheart.

‘Cavalcovers’ takes its name from Black Midi‘s second album, 2021’s ‘Cavalcade’, and the new cover versions, voted for by fans, were originally released only via flexi-disc for those who pre-ordered the full album.

Five covers were recorded for that purpose, and three of those – Taylor Swift‘s ‘Love Story’, King Crimson’s ‘ 21st Century Schizoid Man‘ and Captain Beefheart’s ‘Moonlight On Vermont’ – make up the ‘Cavalcovers’ EP, which is on streaming services now.

Listen to ‘Cavalcovers’ in full below.

The release of the new covers EP comes ahead of the band’s headline North American tour beginning tonight (March 22).

Later on this year, they’ll then head to Europe for a headline tour before embarking on a summer of festivals.
