Coldplay have expanded their ‘Music Of The Spheres World Tour’ with new dates in Peru, Chile and Brazil, with support on some dates coming from Camila Cabello.

The band’s September shows in Lima, Peru and Santiago, Chile will feature support from Cabello, while the previously announced H.E.R. will join Coldplay for shows in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, Brazil.

Coldplay’s North American dates kick off later this month. European dates begin in July and UK dates follow in August, including six shows at London’s Wembley Stadium.

The band started their eco-friendly world tour in San José, Costa Rica on March 18 (fan-shot footage of which you can watch here). They’ve pledged to cut carbon emissions on the road by 50% relative to their last world tour, and will also plant one tree for every ticket sold.

Additionally the band are providing discounts to incentivise fans to use green transportation modes to get to their shows. Coldplay are also powering the gigs almost entirely with renewable energy, and the fan-worn LED wristbands at shows are now made of 100% compostable, plant-based materials.

The band’s tour will hear them air material from their 2021 album, ‘Music Of The Spheres‘.

Last month, Coldplay dedicated a song to the late Foo Fighters drummer and “beautiful man” Taylor Hawkins at a gig in Mexico after news of his death at the age of 50 broke.
