Dua Lipa‘s psychedelic journey starts now. The pop star finally announced the new single ‘Houdini’, out Nov. 9 at 7 pm E.T.

The news arrives a day after Lipa teased new music in a teaser, which featured a golden key necklace, several polaroids, and the cryptic message “4 8 9 9 14 15 21.” A snippet of the song was played in the video, featuring Lipa singing the line “Tell me all the ways you’ll need me” over a groovy beat. Back in August, Lipa confirmed with New York Times magazine that a new album was in the works, described as “1970s-era psychedelia.”

The album will mark Lipa’s third album, following 2020’s Future Nostalgia.

Last spring, Lipa contributed ‘Dance the Night‘ to the Barbie soundtrack, executive produced by Mark Ronson. “I’ve heard some of it and it’s incredible,” Ronson told Vulture of Lipa’s upcoming album. “I think that’s why there’s the disco ball that smashes in the video (‘Dance the Night’), right? This feels like her triumphant stomp on that era of her music into whatever she does next.”

Although Lipa’s Instagram was wiped clean, you can still see her previous posts on Twitter — including her recent Service 95 newsletter, where she interviews Patti Smith about her 2010 memoir Just Kids.
