Drake has fans guessing after he posted a throwback photo of himself with Taylor Swift on Instagram this weekend.

Overnight on Monday (April 18), the rapper shared a random photo dump on his official account, including photos of Drake‘s son, Adonis, as well as various pictures of himself.

The last photo in the post is of the Toronto rapper and Swift embracing a number of years ago.

It’s not clear yet whether the photo is leading up to anything, or teasing a new collaboration, but fans have been speculating online.

“all i’m asking for is for a taylor swift x drake collab for 1989 tv,” one wrote, discussing Swift’s current re-recording project – where new songs are dubbed ‘Taylor’s Version’ – and the forthcoming new edition of 2014’s ‘1989’ album.

“remember there were rumors about drake x taylor swift collab during 1989 era?” another tweeted. “what if that song is in the vault tracks??

Elsewhere, Taylor Swift is set to receive an honorary doctorate from New York University (NYU) this year, becoming a Doctor of Fine Arts.

On May 18, Swift will also address students from the 2020, 2021 and 2022 classes at a COVID-delayed graduation ceremony at Yankee Stadium.

Swift also recently confirmed that she has recorded a brand new song called ‘Carolina’, which will feature in the upcoming big screen adaptation of Delia Owens’ 2018 novel Where The Crawdads Sing.

A snippet of the track also featured in the latest trailer for the film, which debuted last month (March 22) and stars Normal People‘s Daisy Edgar Jones.

Swift shared the trailer on Instagram and said that she was a fan of the novel. She has written the new track alone and enlisted frequent collaborator Aaron Dessner to produce it.

Where The Crawdads Sing is a book I got absolutely lost in when I read it years ago,” Swift said. “As soon as I heard there was a film in the works starring the incredible Daisy Edgar Jones and produced by the brilliant Reese Witherspoon, I knew I wanted to be a part of it from the musical side.

Drake, meanwhile, sparked speculation about a new album recently by sharing new photos from the studio.
