George Ezra has announced he will return next week with ‘Anyone For You’, marking the start of what is presumably the campaign for the singer’s anticipated third album.

The ‘Shotgun’ singer confirmed the news on Twitter, days after a cryptic clip, posted to the singer-songwriter‘s social media channels, shared an a capella snippet of new music.

” I can’t quite believe I’m saying this, in fact I’m not exactly sure how to say this,” he wrote on Twitter.

“NEW MUSIC, it’s true! My new single ‘Anyone For You’ will be out next Friday, 28th January!”

While further details of an album are yet to emerge, last week saw Ezra launch a website called ‘Gold Rush Kid’, which told fans to sign up to the singer’s newsletter for more information, and when scrolling to the bottom, told to “come back soon”.

Ezra, who released his last album ‘Staying At Tamara’s’ in 2018, is also set to hit the road in 2022.

As well as headlining the Boardmasters festival in Cornwall, Ezra will also play his own massive headline show at London’s Finsbury Park on July 17. Support at the show will come from Blossoms and Holly Humberstone, with more TBA.

“Hello, it’s been a while – I know that, I feel it – but I’ve got some exciting news,” Ezra told fans in a video announcing the gig last August, recorded at the Finsbury Park train station. “I’m headlining a show at Finsbury Park next year, on the 17th of July 2022.”

“I want you to be there. I need you to be there. It’s gonna be a party,” he added.
