HAIM played their only European show of 2023 in East London last night – you can see fan-shot footage and check out the setlist below.

The Los Angeles trio topped a bill that also saw sets from Girl in Red, FKJ, Confidence Man, Joesef and Snail Mail, along with a slew of others, as the fifth edition of the All Points East festival in Victoria Park came to a close.

The show will be one of the last of HAIM’s Women in Music Pt. III. era, and saw Danielle, Este and Alana deliver a career-spanning set that leaned mainly on that album and their 2013 debut, Days Are Gone. You can see the full setlist below.

Taking the stage to the sound of Fergie’s 2005 single ‘London Bridge’, the three-piece launched into ‘Now I’m in It’. The band’s biggest-ever London show, it was an emotional affair, with Alana telling the crowd mid-set when the house lights went up on the audience: “don’t make me cry already, guys. I’ve already cried through like the first four songs.”

With Days Are Gone, which was released via the London-based Polydor, turning ten next month, the show offered the opportunity for reflection on the band’s storied history in the city, with Alana also pausing to say: “London and the UK was the first place to ever embrace us, so we actually call this home,” (per Yahoo! News).

Accordingly, they were in the mood to reconnect with the city, with bassist Este asking the crowd for recommendations for where to take the afterparty. “I need your help because I haven’t lived in London in a very long time, and I’m not as well acquainted with Hackney as I was back in the day.”

The group last played London last summer, headlining The O2 Arena and bringing out Taylor Swift for ‘Gasoline’. They’ve since joined Swift, a long-time friend, onstage at several dates on the Eras Tour, teaming up on their evermore collaboration ‘no body no crime’.

Earlier over the bank holiday weekend, All Points East also took in headline appearances by The Strokes, Jungle and Dermot Kennedy, whilst the previous weekend saw Stormzy host his own one-day festival and Aphex Twin top the bill at APE Presents: Field Day.
