Harry Styles drew an audience of at least 100,000 people during his headline performance at Coachella on Friday (April 15).

According to sources, Styles’ set was considered a sellout at the 125,000 capacity festival in Indio, California, according to Variety.

During his set, the former One Direction star was joined by Shania Twain to perform her classic hits ‘Man! I Feel Like a Woman’ and ‘Still the One’.

Styles also played his new single ‘As It Was’ live for the first time, the first cut from his upcoming third album ‘Harry’s House’, which is due out May 20. The record will mark Styles’ third solo album, following his 2019 release ‘Fine Line’.

Styles appeared to begin teasing the new album online in March with the launch of a website, YouAreHome.co, that featured just the image of a door that would open to a different image when the mouse rolled over it. “You Are Home” accounts were also launched on Twitter and Instagram.

Rolling Stone described the new track as “more nakedly vulnerable, a straight-from-the-heart cry that’s also an irresistible dance-floor challenge”.

The ‘As It Was’ video was filmed in London by Ukrainian director Tanu Muino.

In a statement, Muino said” “Shooting him was bittersweet, as it was one of the happiest days of my life, but on the second day of the shoot, my country Ukraine was invaded, so you can imagine the insane emotions we had while shooting. Me and my team from Ukraine poured so much love into this video, and you can see it onscreen.”

Styles is set to play three huge UK stadium shows this summer as he brings ‘Love On Tour’ to Europe and South America.

The ‘Watermelon Sugar’ singer will play Glasgow, Manchester and London in June, with support on those dates from Mitski. He’s also confirmed a run of dates in Europe for June and July, kicking off on Sunday, June 26.

Arlo Parks is on the support bill at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium, while Wolf Alice will join him in mainland Europe.

Styles will take to the stage again tomorrow (April 22) for Coachella weekend two, while Billie Eilish headlines Saturday and Swedish House Mafia and The Weeknd top the bill Sunday.
