London’s O2 Arena has announced plans to go vegan during Billie Eilish’s upcoming shows at the iconic venue.

From tomorrow (June 10), the singer will play six dates at the London venue and will host a climate summit called Overheated throughout her residency.

According to a press release, ‘Overheated’ will bring a host of climate activists, musicians and designers to various spaces at the Greenwich venue to “discuss the climate crisis and the work they are doing to make a difference”.

On June 10, Eilish will give an introduction to the event alongside her brother and collaborator Finneas ahead of a keynote speech from an as-yet-unannounced special guest. Sigrid, meanwhile, is scheduled to perform as part of the ‘Music Climate Session’ on June 16.

The O2 has now confirmed that all animal products will be removed from the arena during the event.

A statement on The O2’s website confirms: “Within The O2 arena, together with our catering partner, Levy’s, we have committed to go 100 per cent vegan on food throughout the arena for the Billie Eilish residency. This includes a range of vegan food offerings on concessions and the removal of certain items.

It continued: “The majority of drinks on offer will be vegan. This includes Champagne Lanson, beer and soft drinks. We have replaced milk with vegan alternatives.”

You can find Billie’s full schedule and buy any remaining tickets here.

The pop star will then headline Glastonbury 2022 on Friday, June 24. Tickets for this year’s festival are now sold out.
