Mel B has continued to tease a Spice Girls reunion, claiming that fans shouldn’t necessarily rule out an appearance at Glastonbury.

Spice Girls officially broke up in 2000 but have held temporary reunions since with live shows in 2007, 2008, 2012 and at various points since 2018.

And after confirming last week that the group was “definitely doing something in 2024”, the singer has seemingly refused to rule out a performance down on Worthy Farm this summer.

“You don’t know that we’re not doing Glastonbury,” she said during a new interview with Hits Radio Breakfast Show.

“We are talking about doing something together – I can’t say what it is ‘cos I always get into trouble,” she added. “Loose lips sink ships and I’m not about to sink the ship. I’ve had the kibosh put on me this time round, but my aim is to get us back into the studio, that would be nice.”

The Glastonbury line-up was revealed last week, with Dua LipaColdplay and SZA all taking top billing at the celebrated event.

The band last performed together at Wembley Stadium in 2019, which marked the end of their first tour as a foursome without Victoria Beckham (aka Posh Spice).

Mel initially teased a reunion during an appearance on ITV’s Loose Women last week. Host Christine Lampard asked about a potential reunion and said: “We need happiness, we need empowerment back again, we need Spice Girls back basically.”

Mel B then responded: “Tell me about it… we are definitely doing something.”

“I’m probably going to get told off [for saying that], but I’ve said it. There you go. “We’ll be announcing at some point later this year. Now I’m going to be in trouble.”

Last year, Mel C said that all members of the Spice Girls would like to play Glastonbury Festival in 2024.

“They’re rehearsed, they know the words, they’re ready,” she continued. “So, if I can drag the other girls along… I say ‘drag’ the other girls along – all of the Spice Girls would like to play Glasto, that is the truth. It’s just getting it together, the timing being right.”
