Yes, it sounds biblical.

Oasis have shared the official recording of ‘Slide Away’ from the opening night Cardiff show on their Live ’25 comeback tour.
The music icons made their return last Friday (July 4) where they played to over 75,000 people at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium. It marked the first time they had reunited in 16 years and was hailed by RS UK as a “joyous celebration of reconciliation” in our five star review.
Now, the band have shared an official recording of their seminal anthem ‘Slide Away’ at the Cardiff show. The song, considered by some fans to be the band’s defining anthem, took sixteenth place in the set after after ‘Cast No Shadow’ and just before ‘Whatever’.
You can listen to the recording in full below.
Our review of the phenomenal comeback show added: “Compared to the build-up, the gig itself is largely drama-free. They play the hits superbly, backed by a band on top form, and look suitably nonplussed while doing it. The brothers take up their old roles — Liam is the rabble rouser, asking fans to do the Poznan dance of his beloved Manchester City during ‘Cigarettes & Alcohol’; Noel is his composed sidekick – as if they never left.
“The symbolic arm-raising at the start of the gig is bookended by a truly enormous cheer when the brothers embrace slightly gingerly before leaving the stage. Largely though, they let the tunes do the talking, which feels fitting. Through all the scuffles and spats, the High Flying Birds and Beady Eyes, these generation-defining anthems are what have always remained, and will continue to do so long after Cardiff gets one of its best nights out in history.”

Oasis continue their reunion tour this month at Manchester’s Heaton Park and London’s Wembley Stadium, then playing worldwide gigs that finish up in Brazil in November.
