Post Malone is set to replace Travis Scott as the headliner of this weekend’s Day N Vegas festival in Las Vegas.

It was announced this week that Scott would be pulling out of the Saturday night (November 13) slot, with sources saying he is “too distraught to play” after eight people died following a crowd crush during his set at his own Astroworld festival last weekend (November 5).

Confirming the replacement on the line-up, Day N Vegas tweeted: “Travis Scott will no longer be performing at Day N Vegas.

“The security and safety of all attending Day N Vegas has been and is always top priority in our festival planning. We continue to work hand in hand with law enforcement, medical personnel and public safety agencies on our protocols for the weekend.

“Please take care of yourselves and each other. Look forward to seeing you in a few days,” they added, before confirming in a separate tweet that Post Malone will now fill in to headline.

It was revealed this week that Travis Scott, Drake and Live Nation are being sued after the music festival tragedy in a complaint filed by festival goer Kristian Paredes, 23, who accuses the rappers and event organisers of negligence and “inciting the crowd”, as reported by the Daily Mail.

Both rappers have also released their own statements about the situation. In his statement shared on Saturday (November 6), Scott, who is set to refund all Astroworld ticket holders, said: “I’m absolutely devastated by what took place last night.

“My prayers go out to the families and all those impacted by what happened at Astroworld Festival.”

Drake, meanwhile, took to Instagram to say that his “heart is broken” for the victims and their families, adding: “I’ve spent the past few days trying to wrap my mind around this devastating tragedy. “I hate resorting to this platform to express an emotion as delicate as grief but this is where I find myself.”
